Bring your dog’s cardio to your driveway.

A slatmill is a self-powered treadmill, your dog’s movement drives the belt. Unlike motorized treadmills, there’s no forced pace. Your dog sets the speed, and we coach them through a safe warm-up, intervals, breaks, and cool-down.

It’s a natural outlet for dogs who love to move, chase, and “work,” and it’s a great option when walks alone don’t quite cut it.

Why pRAWper Pace?

Because most dogs don’t get a true run on a typical walk. A slatmill session gives them a focused cardio outlet and mental stimulation in a safe, controlled environment.

This is especially helpful if you want: more reliable exercise in bad weather, a structured option for busy weeks, a safe alternative to dog parks, or a confidence-building routine for dogs who do better one-on-one.

Standard sessions are 30 minutes.

Session Types

Intro Session

Your first appointment is designed to set your dog up for success. We’ll keep things calm, positive, and controlled while your dog learns the slatmill.

It includes a guided 30-minute session with you present, time to answer questions, and proper fitting of the Hund & Shore step-in harness and tether.

Standard 30-Minute Runs

Once your dog is comfortable, we’ll run coached intervals at their pace with breaks as needed, always prioritizing safety and confidence.

Future expansion: As the program grows, we can offer additional options (packages, add-ons, and more advanced tracking).

Frequently asked questions

All appointments will currently be made by phone or email. After confirmation of appointment date and time, an email link for payment will be sent. Appointments are not booked until payment has been received. Clients will be given 3 hours from the time we send out the email invoice to make payment, otherwise we cannot confirm the availability of the appointment time thereafter. We respect our time, and we respect your time. We expect the same in return.

Appointments canceled with minimum 7 days notice are entitled to a 50% refund. No exceptions. Please understand this at the time of booking. Appointments cancelled any time after the 7 day window and up to 4 days in advance of the appointment are entitled to a 25% refund. No exceptions. Appointments cancelled with less than 4 days notice will be subject to the full charge. No exceptions.

pRAWper Pace Cancellations. Should it come to a scenario where we are unavailable to make our appointment on time (subject to a 15 min grace period) the client will be entitled to an extra 5$ discount on their next run. Should we have to cancel on our own due to weather (or any other reason unrelated to safety of operating due to client or client owner) we are happy to offer a full refund for the session

We understand that accidents happen. Unfortunately, an accident in the van means we have to take time to clean and disinfect in much further depth between appointments. This takes up time, energy and supplies, as well as putting us and our clients at risk of being behind schedule. As such, you agree that you have taken your pet out for an appropriate length of time to conclude their business. Should there be any large (subject to pRAWper Pace discretion) urinary or fecal mess made inside the van by your pets, you will be subject to a 40$ (plus hst) cleaning fee. Refusal to pay or repeated incidences may lead to cancellation of future appointments. Card terminal will be available on site for payment processing.

We reserve the right to refuse service to any animal that we deem unsafe for us to work with. This includes injuries, neglect, aggressive behaviours on the part of the animal or human, or any other circumstance that may put the slatmill operator at risk, by their discretion. If this issue comes up after arrival on site, no refund or discount will be offered. If the safety of the animal is in question, we reserve the right to contact the necessary officials.

While we are at certain events throughout the year, we will have availability to run dogs at the same time. During these events, all associated travel costs will be waived by appointment. Pace Pals Loyalty Members will have advance notice and preferential booking capabilities while appointment times remain available. Treats purchased on site during or after a run will have a 10% off.

Each session with more than one dog, we will deduct 5$ off of the travel fee per additional dog, to a maximum of the total value of the travel fee. Only applies to home appointments, not to events. Please contact us for more information.
